Vitamin B12 Mecobalamin is a form of vitamin B12, also known as methylcobalamin. It is one of the active forms of vitamin B12, and compared to cyanocobalamin, methylcobalamin is more readily utilized by the body. Methylcobalamin plays various roles in the body, including promoting the maintenance and repair of nerve cells, supporting red blood cell production, and participating in DNA synthesis.
