What Is Fucoidan?
Fucoidan refers to a type of polysaccharide which contains substantial percentages of l-fucose and sulfate ester groups, mainly derived from brown seaweed. For the past decade fucoidan has been extensively studied due to its numerous interesting biological activities.
Product Applications
1. Antioxidant :There are a lot of polyphenols in the polysaccharide of fucoite, which has good antioxidant ability. Polyphenols are powerful free radical scavenger, which can remove free radicals in the body, reduce oxidative damage, and also increase the activity of antioxidant enzymes in the body to improve their antioxidant capacity.
2. Immune regulation :Seaweed polysaccharide can enhance the immune function of human body, promote the activation and proliferation of macrophages, and thus help to enhance the resistance to pathogenic microorganisms. It can also promote the differentiation and proliferation of immune cells, regulate the immune balance, and prevent the immune system from over-activation or over-inhibition.
